Trying a new menu should feel inviting. At The White Horse Inn, Nepalese dishes sit alongside familiar pub favourites. This guide helps you find a starting point, compare the choices and put a meal together, whether you begin with momo, a curry or something from the grill.
Start with momo
Momo are dumplings, and our menu gives you a choice of vegetable or chicken. If you are ordering for the table, check which filling everyone wants before choosing. The two prices are shown in the same order as the fillings on the menu.
Samosa chaat is another starter to explore. Or choose the mixed platter, which brings together onion bhaji, chicken tikka and seekh kebab. These are different dishes, so it is worth reading the descriptions rather than choosing by the photograph alone.
- Momo (Veg/Chicken)£6.50/£7.25
- Samosa Chaat£6.25
- Mixed Platter£8.50
Find a curry that suits you
Our chef selection gives you several different starting points. Himali Lamb is described on the menu as a green curry with yoghurt, mint, green chilli and Nepalese spice. Special Butter Chicken brings a creamy sauce with methi flavour and a hint of chilli. Chicken Rum Rum features timur, the Nepalese pepper named in its menu description.
The menu also includes Sherpali Chicken, with jimbu and aromatic herbs, and Akabare Chicken, with fiery akabare chilli. Speak to the team about heat before ordering. A menu spice marker is a starting point for that conversation, not a promise that everyone's experience will be the same.
- Himali Lamb£15.00
- Special Butter Chicken£15.00
- Chicken Rum Rum£14.00
- Sherpali Chicken£15.00
- Akabare Chicken£15.00
Choose a grill, or keep it familiar
The mixed-grill selection moves from a small plate with wings, tikka, seekh kebab and pakora through larger combinations that add lamb chops, Kathmandu tikka, fish pakora and king prawn. Read each combination to choose the ingredients you want, rather than treating the size names as a guest-count recommendation.
For a familiar pub meal, the menu includes battered cod with tartar sauce, burgers and chicken strips with chips. You do not have to choose between a pub favourite and exploring Nepalese cooking: different people at the table can order different styles.
- Small Mixed Grill£13.00
- Regular Mixed Grill£16.00
- Fish & Chips£14.00
Make it your meal
Rice, naans and vegetable sides let you build the meal around your chosen main. Garlic Cheese Naan appears alongside plain, garlic, Peshwari and other options. Read the house-special notes for its rice-and-naan meal upgrade and the additional price.
Tell the team about allergies before ordering, including when you see a vegetarian or gluten-free menu marker. Ingredients and kitchen preparation both matter. The full menu lists the choices, prices and notes; the suggestions below use that same menu record.
- Garlic Cheese Naan£5.25
- Lekali Curry — Veg£12.95
